CPN's
Committees
During the remainder
of 2008 we will be working on re-nominating volunteers to
help us with our Committees as well as our Regional
Directors. Look for an update in our email loop in Sept 2008
of the next steps for our Committees projects.
The following
committees have been an active goal and hope of ours to have
to help run CPN effectively and efficiently. Without the
support and volunteering of our many members we would not be
able to do all that we do here at CPN. Below is a list of
areas we need volunteers please contact us if your
interested in helping.
Advisory-
This
committee will be dedicated in helping CPN to provide the
most effective web site for the online community This
position will require an application to be filled out.
Please leave your name at the forum, we will be in touch.
Board of Directors-
This
committee consists of our wonderfully dedicated individuals
whom will be dedicated to making CPN work. We are currently
taking applications in all states.
Birthday Club-
This
committee will be working on bringing a little sunshine into
the lives of Amanda's Friends. Lots in store here. With our
forum in place we now can wish everyone a happy Birthday on
their special days. We are looking for a small handful of
people willing to take the time to send out a special
birthday e card to those celebrating birthdays.
Chat-
We are currently
accepting applications for Chat moderators as well as chat
committee members. These moderators will be responsible for
hosting chats on different topics and our committee members
will be assisting to find special hosts as well as content
topics.
Fund Raisers-
The
fund raiser committee will be working hard to help provide
the funds it will take to become a non profit organization
reaching to every community across the world. They also will
be seeking out grants and other resources to help provide
our disabled community obtain those things much needed to
make their lives productive and meaningful. Because of the
nature of this committee we are asking for applications be
filled out for any member that is directly involved in
fundraisers themselves.
Grievance-
This
committee probably has the hardest job here at CPN. Each
member has graciously dedicated their time and problem
solving knowledge to CPN. So that if there ever comes a time
when their services are needed within our community they
will be here to help problem solve different situations. I
might add though I pray we will just always have to find
them something else to do because we have such an awesome
group of folks here! =0)
Bridging the Gap (Adults with CP-)
This
committee is our adults/teens with CP community. Please
click on the Adults with link on the main index page to see
just a glimpse of what is in store for the for their
futures.
On-Line Support-
Our
on-line support group are dedicated to helping those in need
of a friend to help them through the tough days, to lend a
shoulder when you need it. They will be there to answer your
questions when they can and if they don't know the answer
they will direct you to people within CPN whom can. What a
wonderful thing this committee will be doing
Research-
-Our
research committee has dedicated themselves to searching the
web and other valuable resources to find information that
may be useful to all of us. If you can't find the answer
your best bet will be to contact them. They will do all they
can to help you find what you're looking for.
Welcome Wagon-
Nothing makes a person feel more welcome when they join a
community and someone drops them a line to say hey I am here
to help you feel comfortable with CPN. This will be the
purpose of our Welcome Wagon Committee. To help our new
members and visitors feel glad they stopped by.
Regional Directors
Our Regional
Directors play a very important role here at CPN. Each
regional director helps our members find resources in their
area and offers support where they can. They are advisors to
our directors and much more.
Throughout the following weeks we will start implementing
each committee, I am very excited!
